There are new terms of service. You need to accept them before proceeding with the use of ILIAS. Read the following document carefully and give your consent or dissent at the bottom of the page.

Privacy Policy

This e-learning platform is called ILIAS. It will be used extensively in your studies or to your course visit. ILIAS stores and processes personal and private data which we consider to be particularly worthy of protection.

This data includes data that you can enter yourself. These include, among others:

  • Academic degree
  • Name
  • address
  • phone numbers
  • Email address
  • Photo(s)
  • Hobbies
  • Etc.
The specification of names, a telephone number under which we can reach you for study-related questions, as well as an e-mail address are mandatory. Other data may be entered voluntarily in ILIAS, e.g. to communicate better with other students. In addition, ILIAS independently collects and generates data about you. In particular, ILIAS will track how you use ILIAS to study and study what learning content you are calling, etc. In some courses, you upload exam content to ILIAS. This data is stored by ILIAS. Your supervisors / lecturers will be given access to this data for the purpose of being able to grade your exam. The supervisors / lecturers can enter data for themselves in ILIAS, e.g. here in the form of a feedback to you regarding the exam results and the grade. Also, ILIAS-related exam-data stores whether you passed the exam or not. In particular, your exam performance and grades are recorded and stored in ILIAS.

Simplified and understandable, we would like to express that the data collected by ILIAS and entered by you or us is intended to assist your studies and enable exams in online format.

Your personal data will of course be treated confidentially and will not be used for advertising purposes. The only exception is that we keep you up to date on other courses that might interest you, as well as alumni meetings of your course groups. Of course you can opt out this at any time.

We share some of your personal data to the certificate issuing institution. Depending on the course or program you are enrolled in, this can be: Sigmund Freud University, and/or MIU Misr International University, and/or RWTH Aachen University and RWTH Aachen International Academy gGmbH. This includes in particular your exam results. This serves the purpose that the Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität Wien or RWTH International Academy can create certificates and / or certificates of the RWTH Aachen, which you receive then.

This ILIAS installation is hosted and maintained by Databay AG. Your data that ILIAS stores about you is also stored here. Your data is also secured against loss by means of backups.

You can view your data in your profile in ILIAS and your personal learning process or in your subscribed courses at any time. You can also change data that you can enter yourself; Exempted from this are examinations submitted (eg exams) after the deadline for submission has expired.

You have the right to have your profile and data deleted. We will carry out this deletion on your request. Please note that under certain circumstances participation in the study and the acquisition of a certificate and the passing of further examinations will be then impossible. This does not affect the legal regulations which we have to observe regarding the retention periods of examinations.

ILIAS uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is stored on your computer and saves data about your last visit, language and other information. This will make the website more comfortable to use. If you disagree with using cookies, don't use this website.
